Whiteville's Shaun Kirk passes on Kentucky, signs with N.C. State
Posted Apr 29, 2015
Whiteville senior Shaun Kirk signed a binding letter of intent with N.C. State's basketball program Wednesday, two days after he made a verbal commitment to the Wolfpack. The commitment was in question following a recruiting push from Kentucky, which offered a scholarship to the 6-foot-6 Kirk on Monday night, after he had said he would attend N.C. State. Kirk, a three-star prospect, averaged 18 points, five rebounds and five blocks this past season for Whiteville.
