Kenny Williams' Commitment Provides Shot In The Arm For Roy Williams, UNC

Kenny Williams will be a Tar Heel, and his surprising announcement Saturday afternoon was more than a tetanus shot staving off an infection, it's a turning point. There is no doubt that had Williams opted for one of his other suitors instead of UNC the critics of his future coach would have raised their decibels a few levels. And it would have been hard to blame them, even while fully understanding the impact of the NCAA cloud hanging over the program. That's what fans do, and sometimes that's what scribes do.
