Another win for Coach Smith

Lee Dedmon received a pleasant surprise in the mail last month. It was a $200 check from the late Dean Smith, his former basketball coach at UNC. The check, which Smith requested to be sent to each of his former players, came with a message: Enjoy a dinner out compliments of Coach Dean Smith. Dedmon thought hard about where he would enjoy that dinner. On Thursday, he made up his mind. (Gaston Gazette)
