Monmouth's King Rice reflects on passing of UNC's Bill Guthridge

When Monmouth head coach King Rice, a UNC standout at point guard from 1987-1991, checked his phone after practice Wednesday morning, he found a wave of text messages with the news that former UNC coach Bill Guthridge had passed away. Emotion set in, and just as he was crushed to learn of Dean Smith's passing on the morning of Feb. 8, Wednesday wasn't going to be any easier.
