A historically bad defense (497.8 ypg allowed last year, the second-worst rate in school history) overshadowed a productive QB running an equally productive spread attack. If new D-coordinator Gene Chizik can upgrade his unit from terrible to merely serviceable, the Tar Heels can compete in the Coastal in 2015. (ESPN.com)
