North Carolina Defeats Virginia Tech to Advance to Pool Play

After struggling through the final two weeks of the regular season, eighth-seeded UNC hoped to turn things back around during the 2015 ACC Baseball Championship. The Tar Heels took a step in that direction on Tuesday. UNC used a solid outing by Zac Gallen and strong relief work by Trevor Kelley to turn back ninth-seeded Virginia Tech, 5-3, in Tuesday’s second play-in game at Durham Bulls Athletic Park.
