On Tuesday, it was simple: Beat Virginia Tech, and the Tar Heels would get three more chances to prove their worth on the field. Lose, and they’d go home and cross their fingers for Monday’s NCAA Tournament Selection Show. So if Tuesday’s game wasn’t officially a ‘must-win’ game, it was surely a ‘would feel a lot better if won.’ (GoHeels.com)
