7. Class of 2006 UNC’s 2006 signing class was so good that Ellington – the No. 8 overall player in the country and the No. 1 shooting guard – was only the third-best UNC recruit. Still, he was a critical piece in Williams’ best class and, perhaps, the best non-Kentucky recruiting haul in the past decade of college basketball. (Carolina Blue)
