Tar Heels target recruits for defensive secondary
Posted May 27, 2015
Issues in the secondary have plagued UNC's defense for two consecutive years, so it's no surprise the Tar Heels have been on the trail of a large number of defensive backs in the 2016 recruiting cycle. I've counted nearly 20 high school safety or cornerback prospects who have stated publicly they've been offered scholarships by UNC. The sheer number of offers is an indication the secondary is a focus of new coordinator Gene Chizik. One of those offers was accepted last weekend by Greg Ross from Potomoc High in Oxon Hill, Maryland.
