Shadow of doubt will cloud UNC football, basketball seasons

It won’t be author John Feinstein's infamous "season on the brink," but the key revenue-producing programs at UNC are under a cloud in the wake of Thursday’s notice of allegations from the NCAA. The probe that began more than five years ago with the football team has swept up both basketball teams, and head coaches Roy Williams and Sylvia Hatchell are unlikely to have any resolution before their seasons begin in November.
