UNC defensive back Alex Dixon to transfer

North Carolina defensive back Alex Dixon has asked for a release and will transfer, Josh Newberg of 247Sports reports. Dixon, from Countryside High in Clearwater High, saw action in nearly every game, but was not a huge contributor. He had only three tackles during the 2014 season. Dixon has graduated from UNC and will have one year of eligibility remaining. (Carolina Blue)
