Michael Jordan, Bulls Defeated Lakers to Win First Championship 24 Years Ago Today

During the Magic/Bird era of dominance, a young kid by the name of Michael Jordan was selected third overall in the 1984 NBA Draft, and the league was never the same. Jordan and the Bulls experienced his fair share of failures throughout his first seven seasons, but in that seventh season, he and the Bulls finally broke through and claimed that first championship.
