Jackson Simmons named graduate assistant coach at Charlotte


Former Tar Heel and Smoky Mountain basketball standout is joining the coaching staff at Charlotte next season as a graduate assistant. Simmons will also be a 49ers student - he is pursuing his masters degree after graduating from North Carolina. Simmons appeared in 28 games for the Tar Heels (26-12) last season.
