Falcons hope T.J. Yates stacks up with NFC South backup quarterbacks

T.J. Yates, 28, started five games with the Houston Texans in 2011 while replacing the injured Matt Schaub. He even won a playoff game. Although the Falcons considered Schaub in free agency this offseason, Falcons coach Dan Quinn expressed confidence in Yates. "T.J. is one that we also challenged, although he has familiarity with the offense with his background at Houston," Quinn said.
