Subscribing to the dictum that “Chance favors the prepared mind,” Shakeel Rashad and Joey Mangili staged a reconnaissance mission Wednesday at the Anderson Softball Stadium in Chapel Hill. Their team, the Kamikaze Cheesecake Assassins, would be competing against seven other squads of Tar Heel football players in the Home Run Derby chapter of the Summer Team Challenge Series.
