Former FSU mascot stabbed to death over gumbo recipe

A man who formerly portrayed Florida State mascot Chief Osceola was stabbed and killed last week in Panama City Beach, Fla., after an argument over a gumbo recipe, WTLX-TV in Tallahassee reported. Caleb Joshua Halley, who served as Chief Osceola from 2004-07 and graduated from the university in 2009, was allegedly stabbed last Tuesday by coworker Orlando Thompson at a restaurant where the two worked. The incident occurred after an apparent altercation over the amount of spice to put into some gumbo at Buddy's Seafood Market.
