Georgios Papagiannis, a 7-footer from Greece who was attracting attention from several big name colleges, has decided to stay in Greece. Papagiannis, who starred for Greek club Panathinaikos and averaged 8.1 points and 7.7 rebounds for the Greek team in last week’s FIBA U19 World Championships, was mulling offers from Kentucky, Oregon, St. John’s and N.C. State. Wolfpack coach Mark Gottfried took a trip to Greece to scout Papagiannis earlier this offseason.
