Memphis transfer Austin Nichols eyes Virginia, but Duke a favorite
Posted Jul 14, 2015
Sources said Memphis transfer Austin Nichols would like to play for the Virginia Cavaliers, but knows that Memphis' administration is unlikely to alter the initial release. Two other sources said that in the likely event that the initial release isn't altered, Duke would be the favorite to land Nichols. The Blue Devils recruited Nichols out of high school and he was the focal point of everything Memphis did last season and averaged 13.3 points and 6.1 rebounds.
