ACC football to utilize medical observers
Posted Jul 20, 2015
Commissioner John Swofford said Monday afternoon that the ACC will have two medical observers in the press box of each football game this fall to monitor player safety. The rule will be in place for all games involving an ACC team, and an observer will travel with his/her specific team. An observer will not have the ability to stop a game but will have direct contact to the sideline.
