New-look defense brings new attitude for UNC

The Tar Heels now have four new coaches on the defensive side of the football, including coordinator Gene Chizik. “What Gene brings to the table is one the renewed confidence in those guys, I think is the biggest factor that I’ve seen to this point,” said Fedora. Chizik looked at every defensive play from every game last year. What he saw was a unit that took poor tracking angles and a team that didn’t tackle well. (WRAL Sports Fan)
