Packers need Julius Peppers to keep performing at high level

Julius Peppers made so many momentous plays on the cheap last season that the Green Bay Packers would have come across as ingrates had they sought a pay cut for 2015. Instead, the Packers never said a peep as Peppers' base salary soars from a bargain-basement $1 million to $8.5 million in the second year of the three-year, $26 million contract that he signed in March 2014.
