Blazers waive Brendan Haywood after acquiring him from Cavs

On Monday, the Portland Trail Blazers acquired Brendan Haywood and his fully non-guaranteed $10.5 million contract from the Cavs along with Mike Miller and two second-round picks. They followed that up on Thursday by waiving Haywood, as expected. The team announced the move in a press release. Haywood was never going to stick with the Blazers.
