The part about listening to the guys with whistles around their necks is in every football player’s handbook. Of course, it helps if the guys wearing whistles also have some jewelry on their fingers. First-year UNC defensive coordinator Gene Chizik is blinged out with rings from national championships when he was the defensive coordinator at Texas in 2005 and the head coach at Auburn in 2010.
