Chizik using 3-step approach to revamp UNC's defense


The first change for UNC's defensive players in the offseason was the arrival of , the architect of Auburn's national title run in 2010. Chizik and his assistants scrapped the old 4-2-5 scheme for a 4-3 base scheme during spring drills, and he said Wednesday that he was impressed with the amount players remembered when they arrived for fall practice in early August.
