James Michael McAdoo reflects on NBA title

James Michael McAdoo’s road to the NBA was not an easy one. After his freshman season at North Carolina, some experts said he was an NBA lottery pick, but he came back for two more seasons for the Tar Heels, and was undrafted after his junior season. “He had a great three years at Carolina,” said Ronnie McAdoo, James’ father. “But I think he sort of lost his swagger down there.”
