Injury turns freshman into center of attention on UNC line

Marquise Williams was looking forward to playing behind a veteran offensive line that returned all five starters this season. But because of a leg injury to junior center Lucas Crowley, the North Carolina quarterback suddenly finds himself taking snaps from an untested true freshman. Crowley, a Rimington Trophy candidate, was hurt during Sunday’s scrimmage.
