Jonathan Smith only needed to say one word. And even that probably wasn't necessary. The Laurinburg (N.C.) Scotland County linebacker reached into the bag, pulled out a North Carolina hat, placed it on his head and said "Carolina." No further explanation to the cheering crowd at the community event was necessary.
