Pitt guard Josh Newkirk transfers to Indiana

Indiana added a late transfer this weekend as former Pitt guard Josh Newkirk joined the program. The 6-foot-1 guard will sit out the 2015-16 season due to NCAA transfer restrictions, but Newkirk has two years of eligibility remaining afterwards. As a Panther last season, Newkirk averaged 5.9 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game. The addition of Newkirk gives the Hoosiers an experienced point guard once Yogi Ferrell exhausts his eligibility after this season. (NBC Sports)
