Leading most of the way, No. 5 North Carolina repelled every Maryland comeback attempt except its last, as the Terrapins won their fifth straight with a thrilling 89-87 victory Sunday at the Comcast Center; and in the meantime, snapped a five-game losing streak to the Tar Heels.
