UNC running back commit Jordon Brown (Southern Durham HS) scored four rushing touchdowns en route to 214 yards on 29 carries. He also caught four passes for 20 yards. Future Tar Heel linebacker Jonathan Smith (Scotland County HS, Laurinburg, NC) "wreaked havoc on the Patriots' offense" in a 42-13 defeat of Charlotte Independence.
