The defense and once beleaguered placekicker Nick Weiler each earned solid A’s, and sophomore running back Elijah Hood resembled a cross between Natrone Means and Kelvin Bryant. But the Heels’ play-calling, personnel packaging and red-zone execution were all just weak.
