Running back Elijah Hood supports role with Tar Heels

Elijah Hood seemed almost uncomfortable with so much attention regarding his role — or lack thereof — during a crucial segment of UNC’s season-opening loss to South Carolina. He wasn’t on the field for game-defining plays at the end of the 17-13 loss. “I wasn’t too surprised,” Hood said Monday. “There (were) times in the scrimmages that I would get down the field and then would come out.”
