The defining plays of UNC’s 48-14 win over Illinois came from the defense. The tone was set early with a goal-line stand on the first Illini possession, as Illinois thought they could score on fourth and goal from the two. But the Tar Heels stuffed them. The victory was Carolina’s largest nonconference win against a Power Five opponent since a 41-7 win over Northwestern in 1977. (GoHeels.com)
