UNC Field Hockey Earns Weekend's Second Shutout

The third-ranked North Carolina field hockey team completed its first homestand of the season without giving up a single goal, defeating visiting Miami (Ohio) 3-0 Sunday on the heels of a 5-0 win over No. 9 Louisville on Friday. UNC is now 7-1 overall and 1-1 in ACC play. No. 11 Boston College visits Francis E. Henry Stadium on Friday for a 4 p.m. ACC matchup.
