Triangle teams in early position to make ACC title run

No Triangle team has won an ACC football championship since 1989 when Duke forged a tie for the title with Virginia. North Carolina has not finished atop the ACC standings since the days of Lawrence Taylor in 1980. NC State’s last ACC football title came in 1979. And yet all three schools appear to have a real chance to win the league; not just a theoretical chance. A real chance.
