The Broncos elbowed their way to the top of the defensive rankings with a blend of aggressiveness and intimidation. It has come at a cost. Wednesday, nose tackle Sylvester Williams told The Denver Post he was fined for his third-quarter hit on Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford in Sunday's 24-12 victory. The league docked Williams $8,681 for unnecessary roughness.
