King Rice gives positive reaction on black UNC jerseys

Monmouth University head coach King Rice played for UNC from 1987-1991. During that time, the school’s relationship with Nike hadn’t started yet as it was still a Converse school. Back then, the uniform was simpler with the argyle pattern not part of it. Times changed, though, in the 1990’s as Nike’s stranglehold on college basketball became prevalent at places like North Carolina, Duke, Georgetown, Syracuse and Arizona among others.
