The Carolina field hockey team is off to a hot 11-1 start and a No. 3 NFHCA national ranking after the Heels’ 8-1 thrashing of Longwood this past Friday. The team has been led this season by senior Emily Wold and surging sophomore Gab Major, who was named ACC Player of the Week for the second straight week after tying a school record with five goals against Virginia.
