Another Wake-Up Call From The Hokies
Posted Feb 14, 2007
North Carolina had Virginia Tech on the ropes several times late in the game but couldn't finish the job. Meanwhile the Hokies hung around and capitalized on poor perimeter shooting by the Tar Heels, pulling off another upset with an 81-80 overtime win. Wayne Ellington’s would-be game-winner fell through the basket just after the final buzzer sounded, as Carolina struggled to find its offense with the game on the line.
