Cavs renew acquaintances with Gene Chizik

Virginia needs no introduction to the architect of North Carolina’s rebuilt defense. First-year Tar Heels defensive coordinator was the opposing head coach when UVa faced Auburn in the 2011 Chick-fil-A Bowl in Atlanta. At the time, Chizik was one year removed from taking the Tigers to the 2010 national championship. He had a short honeymoon, however, losing his job at Auburn after a 3-9 season in 2012, including an 0-8 conference record. (Roanoke Times)
