Playing next to her sister during the NCAA Women’s Soccer Tournament in 2013, while wearing Carolina on her chest will always be one of Darcy McFarlane’s fondest memories. She grew up a Tar Heel thanks to her mother, a Tar Heel alumna and cross country runner with native ties to Chapel Hill. “It’s hard to put into words what makes UNC such a special place.”
