Debacle in Durham douses Duke's shot in rivalry

The elation was palpable. A November football game between Duke and North Carolina was relevant on Saturday. And pesky rain showers couldn’t muffle the excitement and the pride and the competitiveness leading up to kickoff. It’s good to be playing for something more than merely the day or even a 67-year-old traveling trophy that’s actually a bell.
