Saturday’s 66-31 landslide victory over Duke in Kenan Stadium (and to be sure, the game was not nearly as close as that lopsided score might indicate) was a referendum on many elements of the world of Tar Heel football: A maligned UNC fan base that has been bludgeoned to a pulp over 17 years with mediocre football and five years with “The Troubles” was large and in-charge.
