After watching the Tar Heels beat themselves on that late summer evening against South Carolina, who could have dreamed that Larry Fedora’s team might actually have a chance at bookending its season on the same field against the Gamecocks’ rival Clemson with the ACC championship on the line? But eight straight wins later and that seemingly remote chance is on the verge of becoming reality.
