In the delirious postgame locker room, then-Texans coach Gary Kubiak shouted praise for "the kid" and what he had done to lead the Houston Texans to their first playoff win in franchise history. That "kid" was T.J. Yates, then a rookie quarterback for the Texans who was playing in relief of Matt Schaub.
