Tar Heels hope to grow without Paige, then accelerate upon his return

North Carolina won’t have star guard and senior leader Marcus Paige to start this season and if there can be a benefit attached to his considerable absence it figures to be felt in the long term. For a team with great expectations, maybe, in the long view, Paige’s broken right hand can add even more value to the top-ranked Tar Heels and make their lofty aspirations perhaps more reachable.
