Northern Iowa ready for the North Carolina mystique

The North Carolina mystique is real. Paul Jesperson felt it when he played the Tar Heels as a member of the Virginia men’s basketball team. And he hopes his current Northern Iowa teammates can benefit from that experience when coach Roy Williams and company enter the McLeod Center for Saturday’s 1 p.m. showdown. “The first time I played them I was like, ‘Wow, I used to sit in my living room and watch these guys,' ” said (Des Moines Register)
