Orange County receives grant to help dementia patients like Dean Smith

On Wednesday, Linnea Smith spoke publicly for the first time since the passing of her husband, former UNC basketball coach Dean Smith. Smith spoke about her husband’s experience with dementia at a press conference celebrating a $900,000 federal grant that will fund Orange County’s Dementia-Friendly community initiative.
