Last-minute decisions strengthen Davis' first class at UNC

Butch Davis credited assistants Tommy Thigpen and Ken Browning for driving the recruiting effort that landed three late additions. Marvin Austin turned down Florida State, Greg Little had orally committed to Notre Dame and Dwight Jones - a lifelong Tar Heels fan - chose North Carolina over Tennessee and Clemson.
