Saunders says decision was toughest ever
Posted Feb 6, 2007
Weslye Saunders slipped on a South Carolina cap and posed for a picture on Monday night. Ranked among the best 20 tight end prospects in the nation, Saunders said he decided to join Steve Spurrier's Gamecocks on Friday -- much to the chagrin of North Carolina fans. "It was probably the toughest decision I've ever had to make," Saunders said. "The feeling I needed to get away from home was kind of the deciding factor."
